چکیده

The bovine serum albumin mutual diffusion coefficient D has been measured by photon correlation spectroscopy as a function of protein concentration. The solution viscosity ηsol has been obtained by following the diffusion of spherical probes added, at a small volume fraction, to the protein solution. It is found that D follows a fractional Stokes-Einstein relation D ∼ 1/ηsol R with R = 0.5 up to a protein concentration C = 15 g/dL. The observed behavior has been traced back to interparticle interactions taking into account the possibility of mixed stick-slip boundary condition at the protein-water interface.

From local to hydrodynamic friction in Brownian motion: A multiparticle collision dynamics simulation study.

The friction and diffusion coefficients of rigid spherical colloidal particles dissolved in a fluid are determined from velocity and force autocorrelation functions by mesoscale hydrodynamic simulations. Colloids with both slip and no-slip boundary conditions are considered, which are embedded in fluids modeled by multiparticle collision dynamics with and without angular momentum conservation. ...

Time Dependent Fluorescence Depolarization Studies of Bbot

The generally used model for rotational diffusion, the Perrin-Stokes-Einstein model [l-3] , is based on hydrodynamics with the “stick” boundary condition. That is, the velocity of the solute molecule surface relative to the nearest solvent molecules is zero. Recently Hu and Zwanzig [4] have derived rotational friction coefficients for spheroids with the “slip” boundary condition. Here, the resi...

Fluid-solid boundary conditions for multiparticle collision dynamics.

The simulation of colloidal particles suspended in solvent requires an accurate representation of the interactions between the colloids and the solvent molecules. Using the multiparticle collision dynamics method, we examine several proposals for stick boundary conditions, studying their properties in both plane Poiseuille flow (where fluid interacts with the boundary of a stationary macroscopi...

Effect of slip and variable thermal boundary conditions on hydromagnetic mixed convection flow and heat transfer from a non-linearly stretching ‎surface

The effect of partial slip and temperature dependent fluid properties on the MHD mixed convection flow from a heated, non-linearly stretching surface in the presence of radiation and non-uniform internal heat generation/absorption is investigated. The velocity of the stretching surface was assumed to vary according to power-law form. Thermal transport is analyzed for two types of non-isothermal...

Interior Stokes "ows with stick-slip boundary conditions

Two-dimensional Stokes "ows generated by line singularities inside a circular cylinder are studied in the presence of stick-slip boundary conditions. For simplicity, line singularities are assumed to be parallel to the cylinder axis, all axes in the same plane. The interior boundary value problem associated with these "ows is solved in terms of a stream function. Analytic solutions are obtained...
